When high-quality spinouts, champions of innovation and curious investors come together, great things can happen

The Investor Conference 2022 brought a plethora of high-calibre spinouts together, from the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester. They were given the opportunity to present to a room of like-minded academics, investors and advisers.

The event, held at the Deansgate Suite at The Hilton, Manchester on the 12th and 13th September, was supported by Northern Gritstone, the northern powerhouse investing in northern innovation. The two day conference saw 25 spinouts present their companies, punctuated by talks on Venture Capitalist early-stage investing, angel investment, financing deep tech, innovation strategy and an introduction to ID Manchester.

The 2022 Investor Event was a great success and clearly demonstrated the breadth and quality of IP-rich, deep-tech and life science spinouts created by the Universities of Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield.
