Originally from Sweden, Ida moved to the UK when awarded a Marie Curie PhD fellowship at Nottingham University. Since then, she has worked at the University of Liverpool before PostDoc positions at Cardiff University, Aberystwyth University and the University of Salford.

Her Cardiff PostDoc was in collaboration with a company called Mologic and resulted in a product called PeriFast, a lateral flow test for detecting infection in peritoneal dialysis effluent.

For the last few years Ida has worked as a Senior Bioscientist and most recently Lead Project Manager at Microbiosensor Ltd. She is now the Business Analytics Manager for Life Sciences, where she will be looking after projects relating to (but not limited to) molecular biology, cell biology and mental health apps.
